I decided to try Google's Chrome Beta 2 tonight and was pleasantly surprised to see they were using Microsoft's one click deployment.

iSmiles 1.011 Released

Apple has approved the version 1.011 update to iSmiles. A bug has been fixed which was causing it to crash, and two new smiles have been added.

Also, don't forget to join the iSmiles group or become a fan of iSmiles on FaceBook.

2D Game Development for iPhone.

I finally have a pretty decent proof of concept for DEADantTM. The guys at the office have all had some great ideas. I think I have run up against the wall as far as using the UIImageView and the built in IB elements. I am now looking at jumping on the Cocos2d bandwagon.

Shazbot, Meet World.

I decided to put Shazbot on the AppStore for free. I did this one one afternoon for Max. It doesn't do much but I figured I paid to be an Apple developer, I might as well submit it and see what happens.

My First App Rejected?

Eager to jump on the AppStore bandwagon, I developed an iPhone app that was the brainchild of my co-worker Ben Yoder. The idea is simple, shake your phone and hold it up to your face. Your friends giggle as they see your mouth replaced with the image of someone's silly smile.

After a fairly quick turn around, my first iPhone App was reviewed. Oooh, I am so excited...

Dear Jimmy,

Thank you for submitting iSmiles 1.0 to the App Store. We've reviewed iSmiles 1.0 and determined that we cannot post this version of your iPhone application to the App Store because it contains content that ridicules public figures and is in violation of Section 3.3.12 from the iPhone SDK Agreement which states:

"Applications must not contain any obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content or materials of any kind (text, graphics, images, photographs, etc.), or other content or materials that in Apple's reasonable judgement may be found objectionable by iPhone or iPod touch users."

Please refer to the attached screenshot as an example.

If you believe that you can make the necessary changes so that iSmiles 1.0 does not violate the iPhone SDK Agreement we encourage you to do so and resubmit it for review.

Regards,

iPhone Developer Program

What? I've been lumped in with porn? This was the offending image:

YUP, that's the President. But by no means am I ridiculing him.

Sigh.

Guess I'll remove it and submit it again. And there goes iSmiles Celebrity Edition. :-(
